Funerals

My son-in-law's father died over the weekend, and I am going to the viewing tonight and his burial tomorrow morning. I will be coming right from the cemetery in Springfield to class. I will be having a very immediate view of the "American Way of Death." Bill was a year older than me, a retired teacher and a Park Ranger at Put -in Bay during the summers. I really didn't know him very well, so I may learn more about him over the next two days than I did in our formal "family" gatherings. And of course it will get me to thinking about my life, my death [being mortal you know] and the fact that I will have to make some arrangements for myself. I think I want to be at Spring Grove.
